Working visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Hungary

On August 20-21, 2023, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev paid a working visit to Budapest at the invitation of Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.

Within the framework of this visit, President Ilham Aliyev met with Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Bilateral and multilateral cooperation perspectives were discussed.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva watched the men's 100-meter final at the World Athletics Championships at the National Athletics Centre together with Prime Minister Viktor Orban. President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov and member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović also watched the competition.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva also participated in a reception celebrating the national holiday of Hungary - St. Stephen's Day in Budapest.
